It’s hard to focus on the good when illness has struck a tiny tyrant.
Plenty is just fine chez nous, and we have much to be grateful for. Â But John found a grape-sized lump on Milo’s larynx on Friday. Â At the vet, they found he had a fever of 106 – very, very high. Â An expensive battery of tests has told us… well, almost nothing, except he doesn’t have an infection. Â He has been out of sorts and punky, spending lots of time in the cool sanctuary of the basement. Â He appreciates visits, but hasn’t been seeking us out with his usual insistent regularity. Â His meow is a croak, and his purr sounds like a fork dragged across asphalt.
Wee Milo is not well. Â And it’s got us well and truly tweaked.
That’s all I got. Â How are you?
Yowch. So sorry to hear that, it’s awful when kittehs are ill. And Milo is such a fine kitteh. Sending healthful vibes.

Aw, Jill. I hope he (and everyone) feels better soon. It’s just so hard when you don’t know what’s going on. You guys are in my thoughts.
We had a friend try to convince us to take a FIV+ kitty he’d rescued. We just can’t do it right now. Besides the fact that our house is in kitty-quarantine for a few more weeks, we just aren’t up to knowingly taking a potentially sick cat right now.
Sorry to hear one of your little ones is unwell, keep us posted.

Oh dear. I sure hope things turn out well.
